BC Conservatives Announce Justin Greenwood as Candidate for Nanaimo By-Election
NANAIMO -- Justin Greenwood, Interim Deputy Leader of the BC Conservatives, will stand as candidate for the upcoming Nanaimo by-election on January 30th. Mr Greenwood has been serving as the party’s Interim Deputy Leader for the past 14 months and ran for the BC Conservative candidates in during the 2017 general election.
Scott Anderson, Interim Leader of the BC Conservatives, endorsed Greenwood. “I’ve worked with Justin for years, and he is one of the rising stars in our party. I fully endorse his candidacy and I’m confident in his demonstrated competence and ability.”
“I was born and raised and lived on southern Vancouver Island for just over 32 years,” said Greenwood. “All my schooling was done on the island and my work is based out of Victoria. The majority of my family is on the island. In fact, both sides of my family dot the island from Sidney to Port Hardy, including Nanaimo.”
Mr. Greenwood is committed to give Nanaimo voters a true conservative choice on the ballot in this by-election. For too long the BC Liberal party has let down conservatives and those who want increased freedoms and smaller government.
Mr. Greenwood is available for interviews with local and province wide media outlets, and journalists to discuss his candidacy and the overall aims of the BC Conservative party throughout the by-election period, and will be making a number of public appearances in Nanaimo.
